Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Mendoza

Day 1: Arrival at Mendoza

Welcome to Mendoza!
Argentina’s main wine region and heartland of Malbec grape, has also impressive mountains (like Aconcagua, climbers world known summit), outdoor sports (adventurous rafting) and breathtaking landscapes.
Upon arrival, you will be taken to your hotel. Private Service.

Day 2: Mendoza

Day 2: Mendoza

Today you will experience the Argentine wine and learn all about it. From, how it is produced, which grapes we grow and how the industry has been developed.
But- not just that! Of course you will have the chance to taste it and decide which one is your favorite!
At the appropriate time you will be picked up from your hotel (shared service) and driven to the vineyards area.
In about 7 hours you will visit three different wineries accompanied by a specialized guide.
You will be able to explore Luján de Cuyo region, well-known as the cradle of Malbec with its centenarian vineyards at the base of the imposing Andes Mountains.Ç
The wineries proposed to visit are:
Bodega Carlos Pulenta – Vistalba. This is boutique winery, has a very neat production of premium wines. Innovative production concepts and well known wines.
Tapiz Wines is medium sized vineyard that develops not just popular wines but also rising, lesser-known ones.
Close to lunch-time you will arrive at the final stop, Bodega Septima. This winery, while having grown to a large size, has maintained a production quality of that of a small – scale winery with personal service and outstanding wines.
The vineyard’s wines are highly recognized and it has one of the best restaurants with an excellent menu that embraces five courses which perfectly combine excellent food and extraordinary wines with the scenic view of the Andes Mountains. It is in this atmosphere that you will enjoy lunch.
Wineries might change, depending the season. These are confirmed when reservation is done.

Day 3: Mendoza

Day 3: Mendoza

After breakfast, you will have a full day tour in a semi-private service to the nearby Andes Mountains where you will be able to enjoy the most impressive panoramic views of Mount Aconcagua, the highest peak in the Americas.
As a private excursion, this offers you greater flexibility regarding the time of the tour, allowing you to make the most of the sights and routes. In addition, you will have a guide at your disposal throughout the entire tour that will provide you with all the necessary information, making this a much more personalized tour.
Starting along Mendoza River, you will be amazed by the view of the majestic mountain range, the Cordon del Plata, as well as the Potrerillos Dam, a colossal work for hydraulic power generation, and the beautiful valley of Cacheuta.
Our next visit is Uspallata, a pre-Hispanic settlement of aboriginal people called the “Huarpes” and the most southern point of the Inca Empire at the height of its power.
We also pass by the villages of Picheuta, Polvareda and Punta de Vacas, as well as the access point to a Mendoza ski resort called “Los Penitentes” (open from June to August). Further ahead is Puente del Inca, where Las Cuevas River carved into the mountain over the years and formed a natural bridge with hot springs.
You will also be able to appreciate the magnificence of Mount Aconcagua, the “Giant of America” that measures 6959 meters in height. Following the international route to reach our ultimate destination there is a Customs Office called “Horcones” and, a few kilometers ahead, on the border with Chile, there is Las Cuevas village located at 3.200 meters above sea level. In summer season you can make a nice hike to Quebrada del Durazno at the base of Aconcagua, passing through Horcones Lagoon.
Return to the hotel in the afternoon. This excursion includes a box lunch.
